The Year of AI

For five decades, UT Austin has been a global leader in artificial intelligence research, education and innovation. Through new initiatives, strategic investments and partnerships, and signature events, 2024 is a year at UT dedicated to deeper AI exploration. This cross-campus initiative has special resonance in the College of Natural Sciences, which is a leading force in university-spanning efforts such as Texas Robotics, Good Systems and the Institute for Foundations of Machine Learning. Alumni and friends are invited for a seat at the table all year – from a podcast series that introduces need-to-know information about using AI at work and in life, to up-close stories from students and researchers, to events that are open to all.
